Psychology is the Scientific Study of the Mind and Behaviour.
It explores the underlying reasons behind why people behave as they do. It looks at influences from our biology as well as our environment. It seeks to help us understand more about people and how they interact with the world.
We aim to help students achieve success in all areas of their Psychology study. We offer guided learning support for all levels of further education including GCSE, AS and A Level both in the UK and abroad. The primary focus is on providing comprehensive resources to enhance school or college studies. We also offer dedicated support by professional, experienced Psychology teachers and tutors giving our students an alternative perspective when studying Psychology. This support is available through online tuition sessions or group webinars.
We know that learning is easier when you have an excellent teacher. That is why all of our tutors have achieved an advanced level degree in Psychology and have years of teaching experience. Our tutors are passionate about Psychology and bring this enthusiasm into their tuition lessons, resources and activities.
Most students are striving for high grades at both GCSE and A Level, and we encourage exam success through the support and guidance we can offer. All of our resources and study guides are written in conjunction with the exam boards they represent. All of our tutors are competent examiners currently marking exam scripts in Psychology.
Here we explore the underlying theories of the Psychodynamic approach as proposed by Sigmund Freud. Do we repress negative childhood experiences which later manifest themselves in mental illness? How did Freud use his theory of personality to explain behaviour?
This area of Psychology explores the influences in our social environment that shape our behaviour. How can our upbringing affect our beliefs and subsequent actions? It covers social influence topics such as Obedience and Conformity, as well as issues in Prejudice and Discrimnation.
Psychology is the study of the mind and behaviour and this topic encompasses all the cognitive processes in the human mind. One key area looks at how our memory works whereas another explores why we perceive things as we do. It is believed that the mind works like a computer; inputting, processing and storing information. This idea helps us understand how we absorb and process information from the world around us.
Psychology is a subject of ongoing debates and perspectives and all Psychology courses include Issues and Debates as a fundamental topic. These key debates help us see both sides of the argument by looking at the research evidence and evaluation points. The Nature-Nurture debate is one example.
Research Methods are the underlying tools essential in all psychological studies. All aspects of the research process are covered in this topic from ways of conducting experimental research to the statistical analysis used to explain the key findings. The mathematical elements of psychological reserach are all discussed here.
